About SRO
After 43 years at the helm of SRO Artists, I am announcing the transition of our roster with the good folks at Northstar Artists effective starting April 12, 2023. It’s been a great ride for these past four decades but it’s time for me to start taking steps to (eventual) retirement.
Thank you… it has been my sincere privilege to share my daily enthusiasm for the artists we’ve represented and the clients we’ve served over these many years.
Understand that some are making the transition to Northstar at this time, and some are not. If you are making a new inquiry, please route your request to NSA offices. If you are inquiring about a performance already contracted, proceed to the links below under SRO Roster.
If you are making an inquiry for a new booking for any of the artists NOT making the transition, or have any questions, please contact me at jlaramie @ sroartists.com.
Thank you all.

Joe Bernstein joined SRO in September 2019, following over 11 years as the Director of Operations and Education at Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras. In addition to his background in arts administration, he has spent time on the road, touring with his bands The Kissers, El Valiente, and Howler. Joe also frequently performs with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. He teaches courses in rock and jazz music history and music theory at Madison College. He earned his Master of Music degree in percussion performance from the University of Wisconsin. Outside of work, he and his wife have two sons and two terriers. In his free time, he umpires baseball, cooks Italian food, smokes meat, and collects vinyl and whisky.
Hard to believe, but “Pertz” began his career with SRO in 1993! He specializes in marketing support, graphic design, contact management, and Web development. Pertz acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Univ. of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, where he served four years on the student activities executive board, earning recognition as “Most Valuable Programmer” and “Outstanding Board Member.” He is co-founder of the Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival which has become one of the area’s premiere summer events since its’ inception in 2004. When the computer’s off, Pertz loves the outdoors (especially anywhere mountainous and snowy), playing Mr. Mom, home-haunting, and banging-on-the-drums-all-day.
Joining SRO in 2001, Ann holds an Associate degree in Accounting from Madison Area Technical College as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration from Upper Iowa University. She has over 30 years of business and accounting experience in a variety of industries including insurance, financial services, non-profits, hotel management and graphic design. In her free time, Ann enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
